Code of Conduct

  1. Any breach of this agreement may result in expulsion from the dojo and all membership, insurance and training fees forfeited.  For the purpose of this agreement dojo relates to Mu Te Shin Do Martial Arts including Samurai Kindy, Samurai School and Shinobi Teens.
  2. Our training is for personal protection and personal development only, and is not to be used for the purpose of sport fighting, revenge, or any other illegal activity.
  3. All students agree to confine practise to home or at the dojo, teaching others under the guise of Mu Te Shin Do is forbidden unless authorised in writing by Robert Armstrong, founder Mu Te Shin Do & Samurai School Martial Arts.
  4. All students must purchase a membership and insurance from the dojo and agree to pay class fees; amounts and payment terms are subject to change.
  5. Students agree to keep up a level of attendance sufficient to maintain their grade.
  6. All students are responsible for the care for all training equipment.
  7. Students (or guardians), must report all health and medical conditions that may be affected by training and carry any vital information to training – such as information relating to allergies.
  8. Students agree to train at their own risk.
  9. All students must wear the uniform specified in the syllabus. Nothing else…!
  10. Finger and toe nails must be cut, no jewellery or other accessories; long hair should be tied back with soft ties.
  11. Any footwear that has been worn outside the dojo must NEVER touch the mats.
  12. Instructors cannot restrain a child, against their will, physically or otherwise, should they wish to leave the hall.  Parents must be contactable at all times during classes.
  13. All spectators must remain outside of student only areas of the training hall.
  14. All students must be toilet trained and capable of dressing themselves.
  15. All students must use the change rooms where provided and parents must remain outside of these areas whilst children are changing.
  16. Adult students and spectators must not share change facilities with a junior members of the club, or be present in a room with a junior student who is dressing.
  17. Camera equipment and mobile phones are forbidden in the dojo.  Filming is sometimes used by the head instructor as a training aid but only by prior agreement.
  18. Protection of our students is paramount.  Suspicious behaviour or non compliance should be reported to the head instructor immediately, or call Crime Stoppers in matters of urgency. 
  19. All students must show consideration for the health and safety of others; training under the influence of any drug or alcohol is forbidden
  20. In the interest of safety, disruptive students may face expulsion from the club.
